About 1982 💬

  • Based on actual events.

A film about life, hope, and how love trumps war. It take place in 1982 at the onset of Israel's violent invasion of Lebanon.

The first film from Lebanon to address an event that irrevocably changed the course of history.

During the 1982 invasion of Lebanon at a private school on the outskirts of Beirut, 11-year-old Wissam Touma (Mohamad Dalli) tries to tell a classmate about his crush on her, while his teachers - on different sides of the political divide - try to mask their fears, in this debut feature from Oualid Mouaness.

"To the resilient people of Lebanon."
