Inspired by true events AFTERMATH tells a story of guilt and revenge after two strangers' lives become inextricably bound together following a devastating plane crash.

Two very different men deal with the fall out of a plane crash in July 2002. Roman Melynk (Arnold Schwarzenegger) loses his wife and child in the accident as they fly over from Europe to begin a new life with him in America. When he learns that Paul Bonanos (Scoot McNairy), the air traffic controller who was working that night, screw-up caused the crash he is determined to get revenge. Paul is placed in protective custody by the police after a series of threats from the families of the dead.
